The collection is not cheap... The dresser is on sale right now for $899.99 at Pier One. The dresser that I "up-cycled" is more similar to the Hayworth Lingerie Chest as it is skinny, and tall! The Lingerie Chest is on sale for $449.99 I still use it as a dresser and it is perfect.

- Take all the drawers and hardware off your piece and wipe it all down with a damp cloth and dry it off. Then take your sand paper and sand any rough/uneven spots. Wipe off all of the dust!
- I did not have to prime my dresser, I just did a lot of coats of the metallic paint which dried quickly! I am not sure if I used the right kind of paint brush, but it seemed to work great!
- I let the drawers dry (a few days because I got lazy) but I would give it 24 hours in a cool dry place.
- Now for the "fun" part. I had my mirrors cut 1/8 of an inch shorter, all around, from the size of the front of the drawers, so they wouldn't hit the edges when opening and closing the drawers.
- Take the Liquid Nails and apply (not too much) to the back of the mirror and place one mirror on each drawer. This adhesive doesn't dry right away (it actually takes a long time to dry) so make sure you line up the edges and tape them into place! BE SURE TO READ THE TIPS AT THE END SO YOU DON'T MAKE MISTAKES THAT I DID!!
- Let these drawers dry overnight. Then in the morning, put them into the drawers and lay the dresser down on the floor (this is how I did it, whatever works easiest for you to make your knobs even.)
- I took a ruler and a marker and measured to where I would place my knobs. I drew little dots where I would place the knob and then placed the knobs on the dot to make sure they looked right!
- Take the Loctite and apply it to the back of the knob (not too much or it will ooze onto your dresser!) Hold it on the dot on the mirror and hold it there for 15 sec. then let go! DONE!
- Do that for the rest of your knobs and voila! You have a mirrored dresser. I windex-ed the mirror and snapped some pictures because I was overly excited to finally have mirrored furniture!
- When gluing the mirrors to the drawers DO NOT use a lot of liquid nails and be sure to check on them as they are drying or you could end up with this.... nightmare.
- When you glue your knobs on do not use a lot of glue or it will ooze out around the sides and onto your mirror! Keep a wet cloth nearby to wipe up any glue on the mirror.
Best of Luck!
