So i have been a Kate Spade fanatic since I was little and now she has come back into my lifeI I have used her agendas the last two years and I love the gold foiled polka dot and the black stripes. So when I saw these storage bins I HAD to have them. It didn't help that I had the KALLAX shelving unit (best $34.00 ever spent, it is so sturdy!) from Ikea and had an empty section that also NEEDED these boxes. After finding out I had to get the set of 3, which I only needed two and they were $54.00 I decided to figure out a way to do them on my own. What you will need:
What you need to do:
Your box's grand total:
Note that you could probably make 15 boxes out of one roll of electrical tape and I only used 30 gold dots on my box so you could get 2 boxes out of the set on amazon, maybe even more if you use them springily! I didn't put them on the back or bottom because no one sees that! Pitcher holding flowers- found here. Quatrefoil picture frame- found here. Lamp- similar found here. Picture frame on wall TJMaxx. Gold picture frame on top left found from TJMaxx. Other picture Frames found at Habitat for Humanity ReStore. xoxo
Caroline This is a different take on my DIY posts but I made the best meal the other night complete with... Garlic Knots! They are my favorite side to order when I order pizza from a place back home so I decided to attempt it myself. So easy. So quick. So good. Below is the link to the recipe that I used. My only suggestion is to make sure the dough is cold so it is easier to roll. It also helped to pull the rolled out dough rolls to make them longer and stay because they tend to shrink.

So when we heard Cate's ring had not arrived we all kind of brushed it off, William always exaggerates stories. Tuesday when my mom and I arrived in Nashville we asked William where the ring was and he said it should be in Nashville in the morning, as the first set was lost in the mail! You may notice I said set, William got Cate an additional band so she would have one on both sides of her engagement ring. This was her wedding present from him! Cate knew the story about the rings getting lost, but she kept calm and then had to deal with this story, click the link below! This wedding was one to remember from the ring fiasco all the way to the drive back home with my mom. I had such an amazing time and made so many memories. We are so happy to welcome Cate to our family!

i wanted to make this post a little different by adding a video of Cate and William's wedding day. Hopefully it will be easier than reading my long paragraphs, as I could go on for days about how perfect the wedding was.
Here is a list of my favorite parts of the day itself. This summer I am interning for a wedding planner so I tend to pay attention to smaller details.
Here is William & Cate's official wedding video! I may have already watched it 100+ times!
Thanks for reading! Be sure to check my last wedding post that talks about the big problem just a few days before the big day!
xoxo Caroline If you read about the blog, you will notice I added that I am a huge family person and that some family events may be thrown into the blog. I put that there because I knew full well I would want to share my "event of the year" with you! I have two older brothers and the younger of the two got married February 28th. I have broken this post into three parts because there is so much to tell and there was a twist to the wedding weekend that deserves it's own post! He and his wife (that sounds crazy!) dated for many years and his name is William and her name is Cate. Naturally I fell in love for so many reasons but one being, they are basically my own, royal couple!! The wedding was in Nashville, TN and it was a wonderful trip! My mom and I arrived late Tuesday night and spent the night at my brothers condo, had some wine and talked all things wedding (without making him too anxious about all the little details!) I must add that, being the older brother that he is, he decided to tell me that I had to read a scripture at the wedding! I was so scared and surprised I started crying! He was kidding.... I should know his tricks by now! Wednesday was a relaxing day. William, mom and I met with Cate and her mom for breakfast. It was nice to have some time with the two of them and listen about all of the last minute details. That night we went to Cate's grandparents house for dinner and her sisters and parents came too. It was a lot of fun hearing about the crazy day William had (Check out the third wedding blog post to hear all about that.) After dinner my mom and I returned to the hotel to greet my oldest brother, Christopher, who had flown in from NY! He and I were sure to, forget our pre-wedding diet and order some late night pizza! It was fun catching up with him. On Thursday all four of us had lunch together, which was the only time we had to really sit down as a family. It was a quick lunch but nice to have my two older brothers around! After lunch, William and my mom went for a dance lesson to practice their mother-son dance while Christopher and I ran some last minute errands. They consisted of: getting new makeup for myself for the wedding day and getting my eyebrows waxed (gotta love having a sister) and catching the end of the dance lesson! Later Thursday night my aunts and uncles started arriving and we all met up for dinner and drinks at a restaurant down the street from the hotel. It was exciting to have family start arriving and such a nice surprise to have William & Cate meet us out after their dinner with their friends who had arrived from out of town! Friday morning my mom and I woke up very early to go get a manicure and pedicure for the rehearsal dinner and wedding! I choose a light pink for my nails and a hot pink for my toes. After that my mom and I ran to grab some breakfast and then headed for Belle Meade Country Club where Cate's two aunts hosted a bridesmaids luncheon. It was the perfect opportunity to get to know all of the bridesmaids, as I was not able to be at the bachelorette party. Everyone went around and introduced themselves, and told how we knew Cate and William, which was very easy for me to answer! Cate gave all the bridesmaids matching earrings to wear for the ceremony, robes to wear to get ready in Saturday morning and a Lilly Pulitzer reusable bag to put our clothes in. That way the wedding planner could take them from the church (where we got ready) to Belle Meade (where the reception was.) All of the bags had personalized luggage tags to help tell them apart, it was such a nice touch. After the luncheon my mom and I hustled to the hotel to pick up my cousin (Liz) and aunt and we headed to the Blowout Co. This is my new favorite place in Nashville and I now have a new found love for a blowout! We returned to the hotel after our hair appointments to get changed for the rehearsal. My mom, brother Christopher, and me all rode to the church together and were all very excited for the next 24 hours! Here are some pictures in the hotel room, how great does my mom look?! The rehearsal was great, we went through the whole service and lined up so we knew our order for Saturday. Cate and William had bagpipes playing for Cate's entrance and as soon as they practiced at the rehearsal, I already started to cry and this was just the rehearsal! The bridal party, parents, groomsmen and William & Cate went to an Italian Restaurant, Giovanni's, for the rehearsal dinner. When we got there all of William & Cate's aunts and uncles and close friends were there waiting at the bar. There an open cocktail hour with a slideshow of William & Cate through the years playing in the background. We then sat down for a delicious dinner and during the dinner my brother Christopher and Cate's two sister Haden & Kirby gave speeches. I wrote William a nice card because he knew I wouldn't be able to keep it together and not cry for a speech! Then some of William's groomsmen gave speeches and Cate's bridesmaids from Nashville played a game "who knows who better" for William and Cate, it was hilarious! After the dinner the bar was opened back up for all of our family, including cousins (which i have about 20) and out of town guests to see William and Cate before the big day! My two best friends from home came to Nashville for the wedding and came to Giovanni's for the after dinner happy hour. It was so nice to have them there and I could never repay them. Thanks Anna & Sophie!! I have had an obsession with the Hayworth Collection at Pier One for so many years! Throughout high school it was never an option because my mother always said "I didn't need to commit to a bedroom set because I'll change my mind." Moms usually know best BUT after high school and 2 years of college I was still in love with it. The collection is not cheap... The dresser is on sale right now for $899.99 at Pier One. The dresser that I "up-cycled" is more similar to the Hayworth Lingerie Chest as it is skinny, and tall! The Lingerie Chest is on sale for $449.99 I still use it as a dresser and it is perfect. Here is a list of materials you will need, with prices!!
